Advisory services will be available to farmers on mobile from website
Bikaner, June 11 (NH) On the second day of the annual workshop of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, senior scientists of 40 Krishi Vigyan Kendras presented progress reports, including 26 of Rajasthan and 14 Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Haryana. Workshop organizer and director of dissemination education Prof. S.K. Sharma said that during the workshop, the progress of the year 2017-18 was reviewed and the work plan of the year 2018.19 was presented. On Monday, the promotions education directors of 6 Agricultural Universities also presented progress reports of their activities.
Dr. S.K., Director of the Institute of Agricultural Technology Application Institute, sponsored by the workshop. Singh said that under National Food Security Mission, 61 agricultural science centers will be organizing cluster first line demonstrations in 4,770 hectare in 2018-19. This demonstration will be of pulse crops of advanced technology in farmers’ farms. He informed that the website of the institute has been directly linked to broadcasting education directives and 62 agricultural science centers.
With the on-line contact increased administrative efficiency, monitoring and administrative control of the work has become straightforward and simple. Also, mobile apps will also be made, which will be directly accessible to the farmers. Farmers can also get solutions through their problems through the website to the agricultural scientists. Dr. N Chattopadhyay, Director, Indian Meteorological Department informed in his presentation that agromet unit will be set up at various agricultural science centers at the district level through which agricultural science centers will be providing information to the farmers on mobile only. .
